I used this in a documentary for school about touch screens!

I'd just like you to know that this video has helped me create a school project about touch screens. Thank you!

@brogers91 If I'm not mistaken, Stop&Shop has an ICL point of sale system that came out in the mid '90s and has hardly changed a bit, so I'm assuming that they decided to keep old verions of Windows for the sake of compatibility rather than change out all their hardware and completely throw away the old POS. As for the self checkouts, they're probably IBM which can currently only run on Windows 2000, regardless of the POS.

my store runs on an old windows 2000 server and most of the computers boot up in either 98 or 2000... its really wierd that for such a new store they run on such old computers..
the scales are xp though and the price scaner runs something totaly different.. i almost thought it was windows ne but i couldnt really tell.. i mess with all the computers and registers including self scan all the time and even though i get in trouble with my boss alot its normaly worth it..

A lot of these types of scales run on Windows XP Embedded. If you can reboot it and hit the start button before the kiosk software auto-loads, you can use IE, Windows Media Player, etc.

Well they have these scales because they print barcode labels. My store has these scanners you carry around with you so you scan your groceries as you shop, and you need to be able to scan produce as well.
