  • i dont fish tight to the lead like most of the guys up there. Your right there is a big angle from the rod tip to the lead. I have also used leadcore as a snood and caught hounds off the beach. Last night i was using the mono snood. At low tide the water is only three foot deep off the end of the pier and i deffo think the leadcore aids in bait presentation fished on a slackish line. Also it stops the sea crabs biting through the snoods. Will try the same rig soon in the surf for some bass

  • I am lucky every time i go fishing. Those that know me know why that is. I am lucky to be able to get out for a few hours each week and dangle a line. Fish are a bonus.

  • waste of lead core for your rig if u ask me.. your fishing of a pier to a gripper lead so think of the angle of your line to lead?! bit different to carp fishing as your on a still water and rod tips are a foot or so of the water and generally fish slack lines thats when u would use leadcore and it would pin it down.

  • Better luck next time!

  • otherwise known as a pisshound as they smell of piss:)
