SL8b: the many me's of me..

This is part of my exhibition for sl8b.
The exhibition is about identity, self and the way one can in sl play with identity.
The way you look, they way you act, the way you move and the way you write creates a picture of oneself that is presented to the outside.
SL makes it possible to determine for yourself what this picture is.
On one side this liberates people from the shackles rl puts on them.

The magic of sl is that we can change how we look and in many ways be what we like to be.

It is also a movie that adressed the issues of comformity and socialization. The idea of having "alts" or changing gender. But also the fact that people choose to look a certain way that is determined as better: tanned large breasted long legged blond females or tanned, heavy muscled tattoed guys.
People who want to be pretty, for instance.
Or ugly?
Or another gender.
In many ways for some people sl gives something for them that is closer to their own self than they feel like they are in rl.

Like any such gift; it is two edged. For in the end: we can't escape ourselves.
