From http://www.warbeats.com : Edison is the new FL Studio wave editor and it is light years beyond the old editor. I honestly believe I will never use Adobe Audition again to chop my samples. In this tutorial I do some basic chopping and slice markers.

  • @69mehow i believe this can only be done with a midi instrument attached. if you have a midi keyboard or something and it's all connected to fl - just press the record button (next to the stop button) and fl is gonna ask you what exactly you want to record - select "automation and score" or "everything" depending on your preference. The notes you played will be pasted into the piano roll on the patter you were on in the channel you were playing.

  • @robbie3033 when using the fl slicer method make sure to put an end marker on the section that you want to be a "one-shot" sample. that way it will play the piece from the place you mark as the beginning and it will stop at the place you marked with the end marker - meaning; it wont play the whole song every time! lol

  • nice tutorial mate

  • Hi, Thank you for the video, Question: do you know in FL how to make a sample work on a "one-shot' method? What I want is the playlist sequences to play the sample for as long as the sequence is played, not longer. Now, the whole sample always plays, no matter how long the sequence is. Thanks, Robert
