  • @abehammy Who knows? My guess is to cut maintenance costs.

  • @Veevid4u What?? I loved seeing those MGM lions. I don't get it, aren't lions the logo of the MGM company? Do you know why they decided to get rid of the figures and murals in Excalibur?

  • @abehammy They are also going to discontinue the MGM Lion Habitat after January 1, 2012. So see it now or watch my vid taken a few days ago, before it's closed. Many family friendly attractions in Vegas are now closed.

  • Why the hell would mgm remove the statues and scenery?

  • @shootbinary Part of the fun of staying there was the feeling of being lost in Medieval time. Their shows addressed audience as ladies and lords. Also you could page one another on the casino intercom as Lord or Lady "So and So", honest, they did that, very friendly staff. Different now, just another hotel/casino

  • Cool, I always wondered what it used to look like. I wish there was video of the grand opening or something.

It really needs another makeover/overhaul and stress the value of being able to stay on the strip...when I go to Vegas and stay there, I usually lie to people about where I'm staying. It's embarrassing!
