@kolakube123 Haha I wouldnt know I have yet to do much preset surfing at all, as far as subjective taste goes, I agree, its completely subjective. The reason i love a synth is that i stick it in init and just dive in. The virus allows so much direction in the sound which the nord does not even come close with, you can make it sound less dull very easily but i know what you mean, the reason i love the nords sound is because of its brilliance and its almost plastic shine.

I think synths are a personal thing. I found the virus to be quite dull sounding but the worst thing about it for me was the fact it was so bloated. if it were human it would be obese.
It suffers from the modern day problem associated with VSTs, IE 20 billion presets all drenched in heavy FX. Not my cup of tea at all. But I know plenty that use thew Ti to great use. So as said, a personal thing. I much more favour simple and lean set ups. This applies to my entire studio.

@kolakube123 the ti is a different beast in terms of starting sounds, I would never call my virus "bad" sounding i think that would be idiotic, I would however say out of the nord and the virus I prefer the character of the nord for a lot of things.

I think there is no right or wrong way really. Its down to the individual the working methods they employ and people drastically differ.
The best thing I ever done in decades was downsize my studio. I now seriously limet myself to around 10 VST FX plugs. 4 hardware synths (2 of which are monotimbral one of which in monophonic also) and thats about it. And my productions are better now that in ages.
Yet some people love 5 billion VSTs. This approach stresses me right out

@kolakube123 i mostly agree to this. it would be nice to have an FX section for live gigging. also i like the ti2 as well. if you know what you're doing with it, this thing can work like a beast. when i say that I automatically have some film scoring in my mind, with those cold'ish harsh arps creating suspension etc.
basically up to you how to and where to use it. But i can surely say I love my Nord to death. I cant imagine to part my ways with it for a long time. def. a keeper.

Hi guys, I can second the vote for a Nord Lead 3. So much better than a virus. I have had both. The NL3 stayed and the Virus Ti2 went.
I personally don't think it needs FX. I hate the way synths like the Viruses and all others hide poor sounds by drenching them in FX. No nord is able to do that, they just sound brilliant. Then with any DAW these days it is so easy to add high quality FX. Better than anything any synth could have. Just my view guys.
Hallo Hakan,
Beautiful music! Your video is one of the best on YT showing beauty of this synth. I also own NL3 but I've never created sounds like that especially those at the beginning. What are they?
Best greetings

@jazzualdo wow thank you! really! Im glad you liked this.
the patch in the beginning is basically a stack of 3 timbres, a mono'ed bass with its priority on lowest note. a lead on top w/ same setting but priority on highest. and a huge swirling & panning saw pad stacked up in octaves. hope this helps you
best regards :)
