At the CoasterDynamix forum, jpaufsc made some sketches of a coaster called Blue Flash, an Intamin accelerator. He asked if anyone wanted to make it in NoLimits. I decided I'd jump in on the opportunity, for I had never re-created someone else's design.

It actually turned out quite nicely. There are some building technique issues due to time constraints, but they can easily be ignored. The reason for it's quite standard layout, well, it's not like designing a coaster in a 3D space. You can pretty much only draw back and forth. Hence the reason why it is mainly a standard back-and-forth looper. Nonetheless, there ARE some special characteristics about this ride that make it cool, such as the special 95 degree top-hat and fade paint scheme.

********STATS********
- 156 ft tall
- 3,002 ft long
- 65 mph
- 1.6G launch
- 5 inversions
- entirely handbuilt (excepting the barrel-roll and final turn)

I probably should have included the drawings in this video, but it's too late. Also, ignore the RapidShare thingy. Only 10 downloads are allowed and only in a 90 day period, so there isn't a good way to download this ride. Anyway, hope that you enjoy.

P.S: This coaster is mediocre. Want better? See my channel!

  • Nice! How did you make the path to the entrance?

  • @wvlzine I used 3D objects that I downloaded elsewhere. It is known as the CS Park Pack. A simple Google search will get you there.

  • what did u mean by its not like builing in a 3d place and that u can only draw back and forth? cause with no limits u can do way more than back and forth

  • Talking about the drawing...you can only draw 2-dimensionally...

  • That was actually a interesting ride. The suuports on the main tower though wer extreme overkill. As with most of the supports

  • Yeah, but that's what the design called for. I think the tower is actually really cool. It looks like a cone from some views and is bridge-like in architecture.

Anyway thanks for the comment. I'm already starting on another combined project with Maverickman08 on the CD forums. It's going to be a little more elaborate and since no supports were drawn, I can make my own based on how I want it.

  • @JClarke0912

    Thank you!

  • @TheMovieMakers098 Sorry for late comment - been sifting through unanswered ones like these.

First, you must record your NoLimits coaster by pressing the zero key on the numpad (must be numpad). You'll notice that it's really laggy when recording, but you'll have to bear with it, because the final video will be fine.

Then go into Windows Movie Maker (if that's what you use), make a new video that is saved in one of YouTube's accepted formats, and upload.

  • on da first hill u did to much supports but da rest was awesome
