This video contains select clips from my travels to Norway in 2008. The song is a Norwegian folk song "Heiemo og Nykkjen" sung by Helene Bøksle.

  • @TokyoBrando Well he is a boy and he is my friend but not my sweetheart. His name's Ola. I brought along some Vegemite to Norway to see if he'd like the Aussie taste.. but apparently not! Hilarious! You can see him trying it here youtube dot com / watch?v=5HjuTES1Otg

  • @TokyoBrando

    *your...grammatical issues

  • who';s the guy you're always filming..you're bf?

Norway looks cool by the way.

  • "Heiemo and the Water Sprite" Heiemo in valley proclaimeth the song Awaken ye children of noble notion It heardeth Water Sprite's cry on ocean For they have slept time so long. Water Sprite speaketh to captain-man Thou steerest my ship on Christian land. Heiemo singeth and Water Sprite, danceth doth he It pleaseth the people in parlour, they happy be. Oh Heiemo! Heiemo! Stilleth your harm! Thou shall`st sleep on Water Sprite`s arm.
  • @sacredbanana Here's a translation. The second and fourth line in each verse are the same. Apparently this folk song is from the Middle Ages, and there are lots of variations of it.

  • @ruttergod I'd like the English for it too! Unfortunately it's in a dialect that google translate and me can't understand. Even some Norwegians unfamiliar with this dialect would have trouble with it. I do know the title translates to "Heiemo and the Water Sprite"
