i cried so much when mac had cancer so i made up my own ending that his cancer gets cured :)) and then i was happy again :)) x

@ionarockergibson it rides along with what he said to Caroline in the episode before when Mac asked her to move in with him, but before he did he changed it to a lie and asked if they could change shifts, and when he eventually came out with the truth she told him he 'could be so cruel sometimes'.

Oh, I prefer this ending so much more! The last episode is such a weird combination of funny and depressing, but this keeps it on the funny side. Especially with the big hint that Mac wants to tell her he's not dying. They can live happily ever after with Guy hanging around making pervy comments.

Not sure about Alan and Joanna though. Part of me wants Boyce to rescue Alan from the sea and start a funny little relationship. ^_^

with caroline, guy and mac i much prefer this ending ('thank god you didn't shave your legs' 'I DID!' and 'this is no time for a theological debate!' loll)

..... but i loved the other one when joanna and alan walked off holding hands, i thought that was so sweet

Oh, I definitely prefer this ending to the one that aired. This show was so amazing and funny but I thought the terminal illness storyline was much too heavy for the type of comedy it was. I mean, come on, Mac can't die!!! To me, it's more fitting that there was a MIS-DIAGNOSIS of Mac's illness that caused Guy to put someone (ANYONE lol) before his own agenda. And it's much funnier imo that Statham and Joanna were still bickering and clinging to a buoy when they're trying to commit suicide. lmao

I might have to write a mini series three for myself and act it out Karen-from-Outnumbered-style with teddybears. Just to convince myself Mac doesn't die and Guy gets a nice girlfriend.

yes I rather thought Statham's growing insanity and paranoia might have led to people mixing up records here and there...explaining Mac's apparent coolness about the whole thing,... lol

I wish they'd used this ending. I know they made it in case they would make a third season, but they could have used this ending perfectly as well. plus the 'actual' ending is depressing since Mac AND Statham AND Joanna all (probably) die. this ending is less frustrating because that way there might not be something coming between Max&Caroline (coma/holly/sue pretending to be pregnant with mac's baby/mac dying)
