You gotta love the battle system in this game.. I have only played FFS 12 and 13, and I like this one better :D ..
-
@killerkuriboh0528 Because that's what fans will always do.
-
It's funny....i don't think they used the music in this trailer anywhere in the actual game itself
-
@sec0ndevolution you should speak for yourself. And take those words to heart, it might help :)

@TheMustik92 Since you're being deliberately obtuse and refuse to concede ground when you're clearly grasping at straws, I will bid you adieu.
-
@sec0ndevolution they are boring but fun because you get something out of it and if you're going to deny that then you're obviously lying because no one who has played a significant numer of rpg finds side quest to be fun all the time.
You're still stuck on your flawed arguments so I'm not going to bother. The stuborn will within you is amazing. You simply don't understand why you'd use manual instead of auto if you hate it. The optimum way to play the game is what you want it to be not auto.
-
@TheMustik92 You said they're "boring and repetitive"? I guess that doesn't suck to you, then? Make up your mind. You're giving off mixed signals here.
Okay, one last time, since this isn't sinking in: The optimum way to play the game is through Auto-battle, as custom actions are essentially pointless. This doesn't mean my complaint of the auto-battle is invalid. If anything it backs up my point even more. If the best way to play the game is on auto-pilot, then it's flawed.

@sec0ndevolution I did not say that they suck, stop putting words in my mouth. I've played disgaea which has many types of side quest and trust me they do get boring even you're not doing the same thing, and most rpg aren't like disgaea and they are usually divided to two types. The reason why you'd use moves manually instead of auto is because if you bitch about it sucking and ruin the game but use it at the same time then you're contradicting yourself. Which makes your arguments plain stupid.
-
@TheMustik92 Your arguments are falling apart now. "Ummm well, sidequests suck anyway!" No, not really. And even if they do, having some variation would certainly help mix things up. Fighting monsters ad infinitum is hardly engaging.
As for your Auto argument, you're really not getting. The Auto feature (largely) selects the optimum actions for your character. Why would I subvert that just 'because'? Like I said, they should have made a better game if that was the only option.

@sec0ndevolution lol stubborn much? In most rpg side quests are usually boring and repetetive that's why it's a side quests, an optional thing in the game having only one typ of them isn't really that different because in the end it would get boring even if you had a million of them, look at Disgaea. I'm not inventing arguments they are facts, deal with it. Also on auto, yes they do optimize but if you hate it why use it? You have yet to anwser that even though I've brought that up many times.
The trailers don't even begin to give it justice. This is by far the best sequel to a FF game that they have come out with to date. The story is deep and involving, the characters are beautifuly done, and the sidequests and areas to explore are nonstop! Its even better than the original, they seem to have fixed everything people didnt like about the original.

what i don't understand is that people asked for something new and not slow, people complained on how slow combat is and how it was getting boring, when square made 13 they listened to the fans and made a final fantasy people have been waiting for, but when it came out people only complained because it was not like the classics, but isn't that what fans wanted? something new, something that stands out from the rest, I just don't understand why fans keep complaining for a game they asked for.
