Nice work guys... I've been told that large stripers like that often die after long fights even when they appear to revive - your thoughts? What kind of casting reels are they again - I like the way they handled the fish. Great day - 2 thumbs up!!

While fishing freshwater tournament trails for years, I have seen fish caught at 7 A.M. weighed in at 4 P.M., placed in a swimming pool at the weigh-in to spend 3 or 4 days on display and then released with so much energy that you could barely get them out of the pool. I honestly believe that most of the fish survive just fine. If I take time for a photo, I always revive them. If not, I just shoot them back straight down ASAP. I only keep fish that are gut-hooked. Cold water is the key!

The reels are Accurate twin drag 270, and 400 xtreme, and SR 12 spinning. The last reels you will ever buy! I have some that are 3+ years old with loads of abuse, yet if you close your eyes you would think they are right out of the box. My Kids will be using these.
