Super Metroid - Poor-man's speedrun 2 - part 1

Start of the game to the entering of Brinstar.

This is not a tool-assisted speedrun. The game was played at 100% speed, though it did use savestates. I am aware that theoretically a monkey could write a Shakespeare play on a typewriter given enough time, so the intention was to see how fast I, personally, could beat the game given a realistic number of retries.

Please do not get into a discussion about whether or not this is a tool-assisted speedrun, or the nature of a tool-assisted speedrun. I'm not dealing with it. Comments blatantly ignoring this will be deleted.

at 09:03 you could have easilytaken the left road with savestats ;)

I could have easily done it with slowdowns, or given enough savestates, but it takes so much exceedingly quick, nigh simultaneous button pushing to pull it off, I opted to keep my sanity this soon after starting the run.

Yeah even though i beated the game i can honestly admit im not that good at it because of the controls still kinda hard for me to get used to especaily wall jumping

oh god me either, i beat it but it was pretty awkward there for a while, i cant pull off half this stuff

I couldn't never get used to the controls for this game, so I never got around to beating this game. :(
