By your judgements of Stalin and Mao, I can safely state that Reagan, Bush, Johnson, and Nixon were mass murderers.

Reagan probably stands out in this group for his paranoid international war against Communism(millions dead), Operations in South America(civil unrest and millions dead), support of Somali and Afghani rebels(3 million dead), support of Botha's Apartheid. Etc.

Pol Pot was a Communist, and we were fighting Communism. When the left took over congress, and lame duck Pres Ford didn't have any say, yes, America made bad decisions and abandoned people and effectively lost an already won war. The Left has been trying the overpopulation myth for many years. In truth, every person on earth could fit in texas & w/ and acre of land. (not possible, but illustration) The issue is corrupt governments, not lack of resources. The Left loves to see the world as a limited pie which is split up, because than they can capitalize on compassion, appeal to our egalitarian instinct, and thus gain more power. It is interesting that you say that, since the UN(just a few days ago) said that there must be 50% more food, 45% more energy, and 30% more water by 2040, or there will be global famine. They suggested changing the world economic system.

Your whole argument is that Market Imperialism is good, because the rich countries can take care of the 3rd world by buying their resources.

It is safe to say that 80% of the world works to make what 20% of the world enjoys.

Africa's problems are a result of tribalism, and corruption and basically big government. A toothpaste factory CEO can't kick down your door and murder or enslave you. A big State can. Capitalism has brought more people out of poverty & more people into prosperity than anything in human history. Of course there's abuses, yet that's all you leftists focus on; ignoring the fact that poverty is the norm in the human condition. eg. In 10 years 3rd world cities are now golden in China.

Modern Capitalism has just turned into Imperialism again. Countries rich in resources are being robbed by richer nations who play the middle man. A continent like Africa, who is full of rich resources, is extremely high in poverty.

Capitalism= inhumane.
