This is the 1st episode of the incredible 3 part series hosted by Brian Cox and Dara O'brien. The aim of it was to bring the Universe closer to our homes.

In this episode,
Jonathan Ross is shown how to use a telescope.
Brian explains why planets are spheres.
Hawaii becomes home to Liz, who tells us about Mars and
Mark gives tips on how to take brilliant night photographs.

Of course, the end features the viewing conditions forecast from the BBC which is not accurate today.

  • Is it me, but everytime the good Professor talks, I picture Stephen Fry at home, 'beating it down'? those of you who watched the QI with Professor Cox in it will understand and for those of you who dont, watch 'Incomprehensible' Episode and you'll see. :Dseason 1 episode 7. GREAT EPISODE!!!

  • @Talshere88 amen to that!!! more like this please!!!

  • @Darrenov

Shit, you guys still have to pay a TV license, we (Australia) got rid of that decades ago.

  • @AwsomeAthiest he did it too test us too see if we deserved to get all the power and too see if we would still have faith in him after finding this out (i am not agreeing or disagreeing with you, i listen to all opinions with an open mind and all i am doing is telling you what their view is on why god did this, thats all)

  • @TheMusicMannBebo i just want too know how is believing we evolved from apes sound any more ridiculous then a man who is everywhere and controls everything but we have no proof even exists, how is what you think any different to an invisible unicorn in the sky that controls everything? (i'm not disagreeing with you or agreeing either, i have an open mind and like to listen to all opinions and ask questions which i am interested to see what the answer is)

  • @TheMusicMannBebo Not sure if you know this or not but Wikipedia is NOT a reliable source. Anybody with a basic knowledge of how computers and the internet work subtract or add stuff to any particular topic. In schools that is not accepted in any kind of research paper as a source. In schools.... where you learn things like, Wikipedia is not a reliable source.

  • @TheMusicMannBebo There was once a time when all people believed in god and the church ruled, this was called the dark ages...

Atheism has only become widespread in modern times beacuse of science, we can even play god and clone animals, theoretically even humans, so if your god really exsists and he cares about himself being the only one to give life, why would he give us such power if this is his universe, why give us the power to destroy our own world if we choose to ?
