to GotMyWings2day....you and I are definitely on the same page...appreciated Jerry's talents but Wayne definitely was and is my favorite! He captured my attention in Grbo, NC quite a few years ago when he revived the old Embers song "What You Do to Me" Kinda seemed like a flashback to years gone by....he puts his heart and soul into every song he performs! More importantly.....he is one helluva guy...good family man and as genuine and caring as a person can be!

Live in Wilmington, NC. As expected, the Embers are a legend here and down the coast. Had the opportunity of having them perform at two functions the past ten years, one being my neighbor's daughter's wedding over on Wrightsville Beach, and we were blown away by their incredible tightness, vocals and personality. They are the best.

Loved Craig Woolard, as well as Jackie Gore...don't even remember Mark Black...but for my money...Wayne Free and Jerry Tellier are GREAT lead singers and entertainers....very sad that Jerry has left The Embers but wish him the best in his solo career...will always love Wayne, hope he never leaves...also am very proud and LOVE that Jerry was brave enough to sing beach music for those northerners..I will guarantee there was no one there that night that was not entertained.

without Craig Woolard and Mark Black , The Embers will NEVER be the same again.
Sorry Ms. McKee but Jerry Tellier's "solo" career now is selling cars in Cary NC !!! This guy actually did exhibit some talent as a vocalist but just as often could be heard singing slightly flat. His main problem however is his super-sized EGO! One conversation with this character and you know he is soooooo full of himself he just can hardly walk through a doorway! The other guy, Wayne Free, was actually the main talent on that stage (as evidenced by who's now selling cars).

"WINGS", I see what you mean here. This Tellier dude starts right off apologizing to his homies that he's a "transplant" in North Carolina! It's one thing to be proud of where you're from but when you dis the state you're living in, maybe it's time to move on back to the homeland! Like an old friend of mine once said, "a southern man don't need him around anyway"! Looks like Tellier was trying to endear himself to this NYC group of folks. Your "ego" call is right on.
