  • The newer mustangs start out with 412'ish horsepower not supercharged, the older ones were weak in my opinion :P

  • @Eliminator6363 : They start off with 380ish horsepower on a dyno like this.

  • hahahaha i find it funny that Nissan and Toyota were both able to make engines that were mass produced and make 350-400 flywheel horsepower in the early 90's yet a 2007 supercharged american v8 makes 427 flywheel hp.

    sad.

  • @innie721 : Name the vehicles they were in.

  • 427R is a model number and it came from the 427 CRANK hp it put out. The motor is a 4.6L (281c.i.) 3v V8. Roush later changed the factor CRANK to 435 but kept the 427R name. Mine came with 435 CRANK hp which turns out to be about 365 REAR wheel hp. After the upgrades my approximate 365 RWHP turned into 402 RWHP, which is about 460 CRANK hp. It now has about 415RWHP with additional tuning. Hope this cleared things up.

  • FUCK that sounded good

  • @cookkile yea really

  • @innie721 fuck off monkey.

  • @svt89 Still a 4v dohc motor against a pushrod 6.2 just goes to show if ford made a bigger motor it dont mean shit lmao.

  • @svt89 thats a truck? why dont we compare airplane next

  • @22CODY11 Ford does make a bigger motor for there trucks the 6.2 same size as the Gm 6.2 and has more hp and still gets beat at the drag strip so whats your point lol.

  • @svt89 like i said, if ford engineered an bigger motor, ford would stomp'em. lets not forget about the ford gt

  • @22CODY11 Who compares a 2v pushrod motor to a 4v dohc motor lol its not gms fault that ford doesnt make a bigger motor. And a ls3 will spank a 5.0 all day cant compare the two.Ford guys have always been scared of lsx cars it took them 17years to come out with a na motor to out run a ls1 lmao. And btw i own a 2010 gt500

  • might i remind you this is a 4.6L engine, 281 c.i. so for all you chevy guys out there saying yeah were better we put out more hp without forced induction, well im sure if we engineered a 6.0L we'd get better numbers than you. your numbers arent that impressive, at all, youre LS3 engine spec wise compared to our 5.0 is a fair match up if anything, watch out for the new gt500, 650 horsepower :)

  • @innie721 Only 350 (more like 320) crank hp from a twin turbo engine? Seems rather primitive when GM's small block V8 was making the same (more in most cases) hp with no forced induction at the same point in time. They were good engines but in no way were they more sophisticated then their V8 counter parts.
