Elvis Presley Make Me Know It
Written by Otis Blackwell for Elvis, who recorded it March 20, 1960 at RCAs Nashville studios. It was the first song recorded after his discharged from the Army. It is available on Elvis is Back, Return of the Rocker, The Tickle Me Soundtrack, and From Nashville to Memphis-The Essential 60s Masters, which is where this version is from.

You say that you love me
And swear it to be true
But if you care, come over here
And make me know you do
Come on now, make me know it
Then go ahead and show it
But if you care, come over here
And make me know you do

You say you've got kisses
And swear that they're brand new
I think that's fine if you ain't lyin'
But make me know you do
Come on now, make me know it
Then go ahead and show it
I think that's fine if you ain't lyin'
But make me know you do

You won't have no trouble proving it to me
Come right along you'll find me
Helpful as can be

You say you wanna hold me
And stick to me like glue
Well hearing's deceiving
And seeing's believing
Make me know you do
Come on now, make me know it
Well go ahead and show it
I say hearing's deceiving
Seeing's believing
Make me know you do

You won't have no trouble proving it to me
Come right along you'll find me
Helpful as can be

You say you wanna hold me
And stick to me like glue
Well hearing's deceiving
And seeing's believing
Make me know you do
Come on now, make me know it
Well go ahead and show it
I say hearing's deceiving
And Seeing's believing
Make me know you do

Oh make me know it
Then go ahead and show it
Make me know it
Then go ahead and show it

  • The B side of the smashing hit "It is now, or Never"

  • thank you Otis Blackwell for giving your heart and soul to Elvis! your songs are the best!

  • His vocal mastery is simply stunning. It's funny top scholars..even Harvard professors are baffled by his vocal greatness...yet layman have not fully realized his greatness. The most underrated vocalist in history! Probably the greatest voice of all time. You have over 700 recordings to decide for yourself! Don't forget he is the only vocalist in history to master 5 genres of music as evidenced in induction into 4 music genre halls of fame and the highest honor given by the Blues Hall of Fame.

  • @Jackiej61too thanks you are great! god bless you
