Learn more about it http://www.wa2s.org/snapperfest.html

Earlier this week I called Budweiser and told them I was going to be doing a video about Snapperfest. I told them I had concerns about their sponsorship of the event. I was told that they had received several calls about this already and that they had no knowledge of the event, nor did their local distributor. They had claimed that the banner using their logo and name was made without their consent. After I pressed the issue further, I was told someone would get back to me in a few days. I missed their call while I was out doing laundry but when I got home I called them back and gave them the reference number they provided for me. Brandon was the one who called me and left a message, but when I called back he was not available so Reise took my call.

Despite being promised someone who could speak for the company, I was basically talking to a customer service rep who was reading off a prepared script.

This is not an issue of someone grabbing a Budweiser banner and hanging it by the annual Snapperfest event. Rather this was a custom made banner made by professionals. No respectable print shop would knowingly make a banner or sign using a corporate logo without authorization.

A professional custom sign shop made this banner. Someone ordered it and paid for it. Budweiser should be more concerned how it's name and logo is used. When you sponsor an event, you are endorsing the event.

Please contact Budweiser and ask them to issue a press release condemning the animal abuse that took place this year at Snapperfest in Aurora Indiana.

800 342 5283 is their toll free number.

It would be best in my opinion to call, because that gets you a live person, however some have requested a email contact form. Here it is.

Please contact Budweiser and tell them that they should be far more diligent when it comes to misuse of their company name and logo. Please tell them to investigate who produced this banner and who paid for it. Please ask them to ensure that their name and logo is not attached to next year's Snapperfest.

Please stay subscribed to this channel for my next video on Snapperfest. May there never be another Snapperfest.

According to Frank Indiviglio, who has a A Master's Degree in biology and spent twenty years with the Bronx zoo, says that lifting a snapper turtle by the tail, as done at Snapperfest, "will cause severe injuries to the spine and internal organs."

Also in Arizona we have one party consent recording, it is legal for me to record a phone call conversation with or without the consent of the other party.

  • Cabbie, have you looked into copyright law? I only know about a 1/2 hour worth of it but it appears that the use of the Budweiser logo falls under the categories of public domain and fair use. I guess they'll let their name be associated with anything. It looks like your goal of requesting them to issue a press release condemning the use of their logo for an event whose sole purpose is to provide entertainment at the expense of innocent animals is right on track. I'll call/write. Kp up the gd wk

  • @kank468 Simple, call your local print shop and ask for a banner to advertise your local cockfight and tell them you want the budweiser logo on the left and your logo on the right.

No print shop would take that order. This was a custom made vinal banner made by a professional printer. A printer would only use the corporate logo if they were authorized to do so. In my opinion the local budweiser distributor ordered the banner.

Thanks for calling them, keep the pressure on them.

  • But I totally support you in this. Cabbie I don't know why you don't get more views, your videos are by far the most interesting ones on Youtube.

  • GREAT work! Calling Budweiser tomorrow.

  • The Budweiser dude is such a liar. He stammered thru every question you asked him.

  • @barbnoon1 thank you so much for your support

  • @Connected2U2 I beg your pardon. Merriam-Webster on line Dictionary: Definition of REPTILE

1: an animal that crawls or moves on its belly (as a snake) or on small short legs (as a lizard)

2: any of a class (Reptilia) of air-breathing vertebrates that include the alligators and crocodiles, lizards, snakes, turtles etc. Animals do not have a conscience, but they are sentient beings.

  • @chocolatehoney15 I hope so.
