Ya its really easy to do. Another idea Ive had is to get a large speaker, and put a thin piece of plastic over it, and then fill it with water. Then I can experiment with different tones and see how they effect the water and what patterns are created.

I saw a contraption like this when i was 10 years old. It was very old in an outdoor museum and was large bowl make out of some metal.

you rubbed you hands along the top at high speed, and the water would start to move, and within about 10 seconds the water would be swirling up about 300 mm high and "spitting out over the side.

It was amazing to me then and now its still amazing.

I forget where in Australia it was.

your experiments are not very interesting or helpfull in any way. how would a bowl of vibrating water help anyone? Just annoying.Build a sterling motor if you like this stuff.that would be kind of cool. but you have to make it work.the other stuff doesnt seem to work.
