@DaveJones18 whats the best carb to buy? i have a 998 with a stage 3 head and stage 1 kit (eg, lcb, air cone, alloy water cooled inlet manifold and the needle/spring for my carb). and with the stage 3 head on could i fit a carb with a bigger port?

@TattieBoi15 they're not that fastest cars at around 18seconds to 60! my mini 1000 with a stage one kit did around 12 seconds, which is better to live with these days. minis are meant for bends. minis still worry a lot of modern cars through the corners, specially when you start tweaking them properly!

how much more petrol does the mini use if you add the stage 1?
and what can you do to a mini to help save fuel like enginewise..?

Update for you! Just had it done again but with a 12G295 cooper head and a K&N cone with a stub stack in it. This time it got 64.5 bhp & 64 lbf-ft!

You might not believe me (most people don't) but my 998 got 58bhp & 61 lbs torque at Minisport. Thats with a stage one fitted. I was very proud! :) Rob Waddington is a genius.

wow! what carb did you have a weber and a cooper head? ive gt a stage 1 kit fitted with a hif38 carb! 58bhp??? bloody hell
