K of C Baptism Video St. Joseph's Catholic Church

Council 10850 has set up a presentation for the parents of newly baptized children at St. Joseph's Catholic Church here in Jacksonville, Florida!

The Knights previously have only been presenting a white rose to the mothers of the baptized child. The purpose was to recognize and honor the mother for choosing LIFE and raising the child in the Christian faith. However, this was done without recognition of the father!

Council 10850 and our pastor: Father Dan Cody added that recognition of the child's father by presenting him with a pin of the cross adorned with small roses. In addition to the pin, the Knights also provides the fathers with a brochure entitled: " Embrace the Adventure of Fatherhood". This brochure promotes our new website: www.fathersforgood.org.

We encourage other K of C councils to incorporate this short, but wonderful presentation into their Church's Baptismal ceremony!
