OK where should I begin. One: He is one the greatest living coaches in sports. If you like sports that matters. Two: He is a class act who represents Michigan State extraordinarily well in the seedy world of college basketball, he is a shining light. Three: He graduates more basketball players with higher GPAs than most coaches do. Four: He is a fantastic amabassador for the school who brings in not just athletes but other students, and don't think he doesn't. Sports bring in students.

But you are mistaken as well, nobody claimed he was a god. Is it wrong for a man to be greatly respected by his peers? That's all the students love about him. He's a charismatic man that brings happiness and respect to the school.

never once did I disrespect this man. I simply asked a questions. Please look up what the term disrespect means because it doesnt apply here. Everything i said was true. lets start from the beginning. He is a coach. He isnt god. He sits or stands and tells basketball players what to do for a living. everything I said is true. If you find that disrespectful you truly dont know what the word means.

I find it hard to believe you even go here. Seriously. You're going to disrespect a man that not only wins us basketball games, but brings a great image to this school? We've always been playing second fiddle to Michigan, yet Izzo makes us the premier school for basketball. He's tired of our school getting disrespected, which has earned him respect among the students.

That isn't the case at MSU so as I pointed out Dionte should reconsider his/her statement in the future and is far less likely at LARGE DI schools as I point out.

You would be surprised at how many schools athletic programs receive funding through fees on students. Californiawatch(.)org has reported that "At Division I schools, athletic departments had an average subsidy from student fees of about $3.5 million to $4.2 million". This isn't to say that MSU uses student fees to raise money for athletics, but this sort of activity is most certainly occuring, even in DIV 1 schools.

I am saying this merely so you sound intelligent in the future. The basketball and football programs at big D1 schools, especially Michigan State, operate on their own budget entirely and bring in enough revenue that they pay for all the other sports programs which provide scholarships to students who otherwise would be unable to afford college. Hence you sound entirely uninformed and clueless when you claim that your tuition money goes towards Tom Izzo's salary or any of the men's bball program

@PrinceBased im a disgrace because i asked what is so good about a basketball coach? if i am a disgrace i would hate to know what you think about them taking our tuition and wasting it to overpay a basketball coach
