That'S thie normal exlposion type, everyone is able to get this.
The trick is to set up multiple emitters to get a irregular shape.

The only thing that I can think of, is to uncheck the 'Affect Alpha' box in the material settings. I don't see anything unusual, but then again, this is not the method I use myself.

He dude i need ure help because when im rendering my fumefx test the effect is like ''cut'' . someone tell me is because of the matt/shadow of the floor and its true i tested it. Here you can see zoneterreur[.]com/fumefx.jpg How did you use the matt/shadow with the fumefx ? :P:P

That's odd, the matte/shadow shouldn't cause anything like that. Did you use the matte/shadow material, or the Vray matte/shadow settings (like I did)?
I would like to see a screenshot of your material or Vray properties settings for the ground, and a screenshot of the object properties of the ground. (Right-Click->Object properties with the ground plane selected.)
