I love this old photograph of Hank so I just used this one instead of a montage.
Very handsome & meaningful. This particular song can be found on his "40 Greatest hits" CD...if you can find it. He was one of our first white bluesmen. Not that race matters. But he certainly learned from the blues ( its a FACT!! Look it up :) ) and did his own thing with what he learned as a boy. This song is from 1949 and reached #4 on the US Country charts. (back then we had different charts for different genres.) He is too good to be on the same level as your typical "country" garbage. I cant stand contemporary 'country'. So you know Im serious if I post anything from the old days. But...Hank learned from the blues first and foremost. ( read more about that if ya can) I may post more of his songs later.     Music definitely makes life a little more bearable, sometimes it can be your only friend. And it's ok, im the same regarding bad work hours. :)
