I read he was refering to conspiracy theory, where Paul McCartney was thought to have been killed and a standin was put in his place. You could hear "paul is dead" when you planed some of Beatles vinils backwards.

As a photographer and cinematographer I can say unequivocally that the scene was painstakingly lighted, composed and choreographed to put a cross-like image over Huckabee's shoulder.

Huckabee is being very disingenuous in shrugging this off as a bookshelf that coincidentally *looks* like a cross. He should have simply said: "Yeah, I was sucking up to the Religious Right, so what?"

This politicization of religious symbolism is disgusting. it might as well be a Swastika.
