Mercedes AMG - The new SLK 55 AMG: the most powerful SLK of all time. The SLK 55 AMGs newly developed AMG 5.5-liter V8 engine, featuring cylinder shut-off, combines the ultimate in performance with the lowest possible fuel consumption. With a peak output of 310 kW (421 hp) and maximum torque of 540 Nm, the SLK 55 AMG outperforms all of its direct competitors. Its fuel consumption of 8.4 liters per 100 kilometers (NEDC combined) and CO2 emissions of 195 grams per kilometer are around 30 percent lower than those of its predecessor. High levels of driving dynamics are ensured thanks to the AMG sports suspension with Direct-Steer system, Torque Vectoring Brakes and 3-stage ESP®, as well as the AMG high-performance braking system.

The AMG SPEEDHIFT PLUS 7-G TRONIC transmission has been improved (in M mode 190 miliseconds shifting time) and adjusted optimally to the new naturally aspirated AMG V8 5.5L engine. In the SLK 55 AMG, this is the best solution in regards to performance and comfort.

Ali, my r171 is not limited anymore. This makes more sense than jusr raising the limit... On the other hand 250 kmh is already more than enough. With the heavy engine on the front axle and the short distance between both axles the car the car becomes very nervous at that speed.

This card needs some REAL attention to: handling, weight and surely needs the MCT on it. I will not comment on the looks of it. I must see it in person. I still can not figure out why on earth AMG choose NOT too put an MCT on this car...any thoughts?? That real diffusor could have use some carbon...its AMG too.

This is the AMG version! And there is no reason to lower the expecs on this car. The regular SLK is enough for conservative city drivers--
