  • It is encouraging to see the CBC expose the failure of the regulators to protect investors. While they claim to provide preventative rather than remedial protection they are unable to prevent financial fiascos. The regulators often provide exemptive relief from regulations meant to protect investors, and industry creates products to circumvent the rules. The program focuses on the failure of highly paid regulators to protect the public. Marie Smith, President - United Senior Citizens of Ontario.

  • The OSC cripples the good and the bad. They freeze there accounts and keep the the money. They never tell the

investors. Most investors believe the OSC is there to help them, but there not. They need to make money just like everybody else. It would be great if they prove a company of fraud, then freeze the accounts and return the money to the investors, but they always keep it.

Also, asking the OSC to look into a company you invested in, is like handing your.investment to the OSC.
