This is a 4" PVC rocket that was home made. It uses a solid 3" KNO3/Sucrose grain with a 1/2" core set in 1" SCH 40 PVC. The nozzle is made of Drylok hydrualic cement with a steel washer to re-enforce it. The nozzle throat diameter is 1/4" and the nozzle exit diameter is 3/4".

The rocket was a little unstable but flew pretty high. We filled the PVC cap with fuel for extra power which probably resulted in it's strange flight path. Unfortunately we were unable to recover the rocket to inspect it for any failures that may have occured.

  • I bet if you rammed it with black powder and drilled out a 1 3/8 inch opening and core that thing would have been a beastly rocket! BTW, your crazy standing by that!

  • that was great

  • Nope. Looked for a while, but never located it.
