Asakura! (which is the abbreviation for Assault Crisis, with "Asa" being "Assault" and "Kura" being "Crisis"; it also means "Oh Sakura!") is typically refered to by Sodom, the developer, as a Mega Man + Metroid hybrid in the sense that the player controls like Mega Man but with the exploration of a Metroid title. While the game isn't entirely like either (and sets itself apart further as the game series progresses), it's still an enjoyable enough game in its own right with a good soundtrack and light RPG elements.

As far as I can tell, your character doesn't appear to have a name. She is always refered to as the girl or hero on the website. She's on a quest to recover some precious jewels and goes in search of them, as she knows the monsters in the maze have stolen them. She can improve her parameters on her quest and utilize five main weapons (and a "sixth" skill, the shield), as well as purchase items from shops. It is the first game in the Asakura! series, with three currently overall (the third which will likely be introduced at Comiket 78). This video demonstrates a few things from tutorial stuff to taking damage and navigating menus. It's a decent old-school action game. Enjoy.

  • Doujin Megaman clones are often fun to play.

  • Reminds me of Mega Man with creatures that reminds me of Slime from the DQ\DW series. XD
