Many is the argument I've had as to who it might be that had the greatest influence on the rise of celtic music appreciation in this country. My vote has always been w/ the Clancy Bros. as they were certainly THE influence of our own folk group. I am SO glad I found this!

wonderful song

another example of the way Liam could get inside of and inhabit a song and sing it as if it told his very own personal story. " He laughed and sung the whole night long and saw the sun rise in the morning." Thank you Liam. Rest in peace.

Ah Liam, you had a voice that would calm down a whirling dervish. Miss you and the boys so much!

@AmazingFriendlyApple Quite a few who label themselves as The Travelling Community do a great disservice to their memory of those gentle folk of times gone by looking for a glass of water or maybe some corner of a field to camp for a night or two these areare tings of the past... .. Different times You will never see a 'Tinker' to mend some pot or pan ... McColl was right, times have changed......'Old ways are going... your travelling days will soon be over'. Now it's all Tarmac and Furniture
