Started work on my new OO layout. The layout is designed to be an exhibition layout, so it can be set up anywhere flat with a power supply! Baseboards are now built, but just got 1 left to paint. Obviously tracks not secured down yet, but the points are all in the rough position along with some lengths of the track. The track used is Peco finescale code 75 with electrofrog points. More updates to follow over the next couple months. In due course fiddle yards will be added to either end of the layout.

The layout is a station and small yard set around 1994/6. The model represents a southern railway medium sized station on a busy mainline, just outside london, with pleanty of freight! 3rd rail will be layed, which should be a challenge!
I decided to start work on what's now my 3rd model railway after becoming increasingly bored of the lack of variety on real UK railways; just 66 after 66. So if the railways won't run 'real' traction, i will!
Sorry didn't realise my music was that loud!

  • can you please tell me how you join your boards so the track is in line and how are they held together, thanks

  • @bobbysong69 I'm about to change them as I'm having problems keeping the boards together. Will probably try butterfly catches now to hold them together.
