Polycythemia Vera (PV) is a disease that is part of a family of Myeloproliferative disorders. This condition afflicts the bone marrow, causing an over production of cells.     I was diagnosed over three years ago, I am 53, managed well and just had blood taked after 6 months, thanks for the info.

  • Thank you for this video Dr. Mesa. It explains things so well. As a PV patient, I wish I could afford to come to the Mayo Clinic. I know there is much more available in terms of treatment than what I'm currently receiving.
