Not only does she speak on the disrespect of men... she speaks on our willingness to accept it. She said in this poem, "with his eyes I LET HIM ..." and she said, "Daddy I'm afraid I've forgotten your lyrics". It's easy to say she's male bashing if you float on the surface but I believe she was really trying to resurrect her thought process... so that she would have the strength of character to never allow herself to be treated that way.
