Adele Someone Like You is a beautiful song and although nobody can compare to Adele herself, Kia (17 years old) did a fantastic job on her first music video acoustic cover of Adele's someone like you AND first real time singing in front of 'strangers' other than over a phone call.
Kia is a huge Adele fan and loves to sing her songs all day, we also catch her singing Adele's songs at work too, but only under her breath, never aloud. She lacks the confidence to sing in front of people. One day, Adele's someone like you was playing in the restaurant we worked in and it was pretty quiet.
She must have been in a world of her own, because whilst busy cleaning some dirty tables she was singing someone like you so beautifully, that everyone of the staff on the restaurant floor and the few remaining customers just stopped what they were doing and we were all transfixed by the beautiful, yet powerful tone to her voice -- From such a tiny frame!
As soon as she came back to reality and realised we were all just gazing at her, she froze and then started to go all shy and acted as if she hadn't just been singing, let alone getting caught singing in the middle of the restaurant. She got too nervous and had never really sang in front of people before, we just used to catch her singing under her breath and then she would just stop if she thought you were listening. We'd beg her to sing again, but she was always too nervous.
After hearing her unsuspecting rendition of Adele's someone like you quite clearly that day, we all gave her enough courage and confidence to get her to go for an audition for The Paul O'Grady show in Cardiff, Wales. Two other people in the room, producer and camera man, she sang Beyonce's Ave Maria. She got offered a Skype call on the show (or something like that), but nothing transpired.
Many months later, Kia gets a random call from a film writer/producer, Omari Bryan, who had seen the audition video of her Beyonce rendition. He was so blown Away and captured by Kia's voice, he took time out of the TV and film industry to create a video for her.
Kia travelled to London for the day hoping to record four videos/acoustic covers -- Rhianna, California King Bed; Beyonce, Best Thing I Never Had; Beyonce, Sweet Dream and, the above mentioned, Adele, Someone Like You.
She was a BIG bag of nerves on the day and, unfortunately, the nerves slightly got the better of her and we only got Adele's Someone Like You recorded. She was shaky through the performance, but she pulled through and sang a beautiful rendition of Adele's masterpiece.
Kia needs a confidence boost, which is why we have set up this YouTube channel, because believe you me -- You can't imagine the beauty, tone, control and power from such a small set of lungs when she is relaxed and confident -- it's spellbinding and really moving.
She's also NEVER had singing lessons and her voice in this video/recording has not been mastered at all, so just imagine how amazing she will sound if she had the confidence to be relaxed and a chance to work with a vocal coach -- A possible new artist in the making! Who knows, maybe in the future she could even sing Someone Like You with Adele someday, we can only dream.
Kia is no match for Adele's powerful lungs and her stunning voice, but the beauty to Kia's tone is captivating and her renditions of songs are truly moving, trust me!! Kia Is planning on a string of web cam videos, so please help boost her confidence by subscribing, sharing this and her other videos on Facebook, making her videos a favourite, 'Like' her videos, leave a positive comment etc.
I assure you, when she has the confidence to sing in front of people and remain relaxed, we will get her to re-sing Adele Someone Like You, watch this video first (The future 'old' one) and then watch the new recording -- I promise you will be amazed by the difference and I can say 'I told you so'!!!

i think people upload videos on youtube so they can be heard or seen . I think you need to be heard.you have an amazing voice and hopefully you can make more videos!!!!!!

This shit is bad as fuck. Half the people on the radio sing fucking trash. This girl can sing. Pretty bad I turn the radio off any time I hear Nikki Minaj and the rest of the bulkshit they play and this girl is half there age and sings good as fuck.
