All the "blood" that was on robert deniro's face is actually hershey's chocolate syrup because it showed up better in the black and white film. Just a fucking fun fact

Piss off you simple-minded fuck. What Alister explained is what makes this movie so magnificent.

"LaMotta and Robinson had their fifth bout at Comiskey Park, Chicago, Illinois on September 26, 1945. Robinson won by a very controversial split decision. The decision was loudly booed by the 14,755 people in attendance. LaMotta later said in his autobiography that the decision was widely criticized by several newspapers and boxing publishers. Robinson said afterward, "This was the toughest fight I've ever had with LaMotta."

in their final fight Lamotta lost by TKO, this was their final fight, it wasn't very disputed

in all honesty lamotta knocked ray robinson down many of times whereas ray robinson never got jake down, and there final fight was highly disputed in which lamotta should have won, so its more like a tie, and if u want to look at it more closely lamotta edged him out on knockdowns

Lol, the whole scene is Jake saying you ain't a fighter, you're a ducker and a dodger, basically a taunt to the floyd mayweathers of the world. He could of course out last and evade Jake and win by points but he wants him to know as a real fight he didn't really win, he wants him to know that the only reason he wins is because he won't go toe to toe and brawl with him and would rather dance and outlast him endurance, but when it comes to beating he couldn't get him down even with those freeshots
