After many requests, I sat down and learned the St. Petersburg stitch! It does require your patience, but you will be rewarded with a beautiful stitched v-shaped necklace. It is a piece that you can put down and pick back up and work in stages! So join me as I demonstrate this fabled stitch!

My download keeps stopping at 5:41 of the 10 minutes and I'm going crazy. I was able to do part 1 and part 3 is downloading now. AARRKKKK.
Other than that this is a great video and I like all of the ones you do ~:)

This portion of the necklace can be quite awkward. A much easier way can be achieved by simply turning the upper sides to the bottom and working the lower side as though it were the upper side. This makes all your stitching at the exact angles as the upper side. This is much easier than trying to work backwards. Thanks Karla for another great project!

If we had been taught to make things like this in art, a lot more people would have a better appreciation for the craft.

I think that it's pretty with out the lower sides, but it's equally as pretty with the lower sides. BTW, wouldn't she be a great art teacher?
