On April 20, 2010, Congressman Kanjorski, Chairman of the House Financial Services Subcommittee on Capital Markets, Insurance, and Government Sponsored Enterprises, questioned financial regulators at a Financial Services Committee hearing entitled "Public Policy Issues Raised by the Report of the Lehman Bankruptcy Examiner" about the Kanjorski amendment and preventing "too big to fail" financial companies from existing. The regulators included U.S. Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner, Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke, and U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission Chairman Mary Schapiro.
