I remember staying up staying up to all hours watching this game, McGrath's spell was one of the best of all time sensational bowling!

*Statistically* McGrath is the best fast bowler of all time. But u can't compare McGrath to the likes of Ambrose or even Lillee. They bowl differently. McGrath wouldn't really attack the batsmen. He bowled a consistent line & length all day. Gilchrist even said he might swing the first & second ball in his first over of the day, the rest gun barrel straight on good line & length. Every bowler bowls differently. It's hard to compare, because they also played in different generations each other.

bowlers of 80's of west indies had a better bowling record than mcgrath or donald .lilles test record is quite better than mcgrath with the average of 6.4 wickets per match.
