A hawksbill turtle, (Eretmochelys imbricata) is feeding on a jellyfish.
In this case it is a real jelly, but very often sea turtles feed on drifting plastic as it looks like jellyfish.
The turtles cannot digest the plastic. They have downward facing spines in their throats which prevents them from regurgitating the rubbish.
The plastic gets trapped in the stomach and is blocking other swallowed food to be digested and being afterwards released in a normal way.
