This kitten was born with deformed back legs (one curls under, the other sticks out backwards) and CH (Cerebellar Hypoplasia). He's nearly six weeks old (40 days) and has taken longer than most kittens to learn to walk. This is the hobble he's come up with to get around.

What a little darling! I would love to be able to adopt a cat like that if I could. I know CH cats usually live happy, healthy, and long lives. But I wonder, is the kitten in any pain from having to drag its back legs around like that? I imagine it can't be very comfortable. Maybe it would be good when it's a little older and bigger to get them a wheelchair?

By about 12 weeks old, Skitter figured out how to get his "good leg" under him and support his weight. He's in no pain, and no longer drags his back end. He can do anything a normal kitty can do, except jump up on the counters. He actually runs (runs!!) now.

Skitter is very much alive and well. He's now 9-1/2 months old, neutered, and capable of doing anything a normal cat cat do, except jump. He climbs the kitty condo (pulling himself up with his front claws), he uses the litter box, and he can run! He still bobbles his head when he eats, drinks, or gets a treat, but most people don't notice.

My cat had kittens and right now they are 2 weeks old. Two of them are able to stand and sit in a normal position but the third drags its back legs around and they kinda stick out to the sides like flippers. Can he have this disorder? My sister said to wait and see how he gets since they're only 2 weeks old but I can't help but to worry a little bit
