This kitten was born with deformed back legs (one curls under, the other sticks out backwards) and CH (Cerebellar Hypoplasia). He's nearly six weeks old (40 days) and has taken longer than most kittens to learn to walk. This is the hobble he's come up with to get around.

  • can't help but love this cute little kitty please keep us updated

  • @sheka216 Skitter has his own Facebook page now to keep everyone updated. His page currently includes an updated version of this video, to show his progress.

  • Skitter's facebook profile is SkitterCat (you can search for him).

  • I love this kitty. Is there a surgery that can be done to help his back legs become more functional? I can tell he gets along great.

  • @semka5151 Skitter does not qualify for amputation because he is mobile and uses his curled leg for balance. Because of his cerebellar hypoplasia, even if he had normal legs, he'd still walk funny.

  • Skitter is very much alive and well. He's now 9-1/2 months old, neutered, and capable of doing anything a normal cat cat do, except jump. He climbs the kitty condo (pulling himself up with his front claws), he uses the litter box, and he can run! He still bobbles his head when he eats, drinks, or gets a treat, but most people don't notice.

  • awwwwwww i feel so bat for the kitten! at least he or she can still walk

  • My mums cat has had three legs since a young age due to a road accident, he is now 19 years old, and still gets around, he could run and jump quite well up untill a year or so ago. He is on a special diet to keep him slim so there is not to much load on his back leg. what amazing animals cats are.

  • God bless this kitty, and it's deformed legs :D

  • This has restored more hope in humanity for me! <3 Skitter!! He's so cute!!

  • bless you for taking care of this kitty

  • So precious...I'm so happy to see someone loves him and doesn't just throw him away in a dark alley or shelter just because he is disabled. This is amazing.!!! :-)

  • So precious! Love you little Skitter baby!
