Some of the greatest treasures of Egyptian art have ended up in foreign countries, including the Rosetta Stone, which unlocked the secrets of Egyptian hieroglyphs. Now Egypt wants the Rosetta Stone back, if only for a visit.

  • They Egyptians are not asking for the credit for making it what it is. They are just asking for there property back.

  • I spent a month in London and refused to set foot in the British museum as I am opposed to them keeping stolen artificats that are not part of their culture/history. Not just from Egypt, but the Greek friezes from the Parthenon, etc...England has no right to keep these, I dont care how it came into their posession, and the woman from the BM in this video, Hannah Bolton, is sooo smug and arrogant. And some Brits wonder why people in the Middle East still resent them.

  • Give it back!

  • This criminal man has stood in the way of the most important archeology in human history for 40 years. GIZA does NOT belong to Egypt. It definitely does not belong to one man. It belongs to all human beings. This criminal man has stood in the way of the most important archeology in human history for 40 years. GIZA does NOT belong to Egypt. • Well, I pretty much agree with the Egyptian doctor in principle. However, he seriously damages his credibility when he asks for the Rosetta Stone for a "3 month loan".

Does he believe that in a million years that anyone at all could not see he's planning on keeping it?

  • British are thieves not only did they steal from Egypt they have stolen from a lot of countries especially India.

  • Just fascinating.

  • @bdstratton yea cuz britain hasnt pissed anyone off bad enough to start an attack or something. just like the US, they are the darlings of the whole world, right? they are there's. if they want to care for them, who are we to keep what is theirs?

  • @cybertiberium i totally agree the recent violence in Egypt has already caused damage to some precious artifacts held in Cairo when looters ransacked the Cairo Museum.

  • i dont think its safe to have all the egyptian artifacts in Egypt. Look at the recent events in Egypt the Museam in Cairo got ransacked.

Having these artifacts all over the world protects the history.

  • greedy bastard

  • @DillionTA They dare not ask for the credit! It belongs to anceint panthenist egyptians...not some islamic arabs who are in egypt today. As for the artifacts, yes it belongs to modern "egyptians".Lets just hope it won't suffer the fate of the bhumiyan buddha once the egyptians get it!!
