@prvoslav888 Naturally, the Balkans, just like any other nation, has a US military strong point and staging point for troops in case of war. Britain has done the same thing during its time as a powerful nation, and still does so. If anything, if it were for oil, then it was to protect INTERnational interests, meaning that that oil was going to all nations who buy from the Middle East. Nickel is something totally different, and I don't see any connection. In fact, you are very narrow minded.

If you have read what the soldiers find on the bodies of dead Taliban and Al Qaeda, they are loaded with PCP, and other forms of drugs. Evident even after the fact that some of them are shot several times and keep going. We are in other countries for fast reaction. What effect does a large army have, if there is no quick reaction force to at least hold the enemy back? S. Korea, Japan, Kuwait, Germany, etc
