Very well done! One of the best I've seen. Great job!

I really like the way that you do the pair at once, this way they are really identical! Really good tip! Thanks

Thanks so much. Very clear instructions. Feels great to know!!!!

@sarahdible how do you tumble harden them? is there another way, maybe with a mallet or something?

A really easy, effective teaching video--you have a nice calming voice like the "happy little trees" guy. The only criticism is that there is a good bit of waste--I am making my first pairs of earwires out of platinum and I can't cut off big hunks of wire!
(later) the platinum earwires came out so pretty! I am hanging Longido rubies from them tomorrow. Thank you so much for a good tutorial!

Its called kidney ear wire or something (i am not sure) .. it would be great if you could post more tutorials ... this is the best i must say again .. thanks

Where did you find the tool to shape the ear wire? I like the ridges on the end of it which would aid in shaping the top of the ear wire. Thanks!

@mskaj5 it is a reamer of some sort. I got it so long ago. You can use a pen barrel and the groove end where the cap screws on as well.

So glad this helped you. What else did you make?

Sorry I have not gotten back to you on you question. Pregnancy and babies have slowed me down.
Yes any gauge wire will work and once you have made a few pairs it is VERY addictive. I must admit the first few pairs may be a little frustrating but once they come together and look nice you just can;t stop making them.
I use 19 or 20 gauge wire and full or half hard. If I use half hard I have to tumble harden them after I make them.
