the hostility with Gordon is because he crippled the recruitment the Illini had. ou other 4 star recruit guards who look at Gordon and say "I'm probably going to get crap playing time at Illinois" and they chose to go somewhere else. Also, he pretty much lied to Illinois until it was too late to recruit anyone else who was even decently close to his caliber of player. And Sampson is a dirty cheater everyone knows it.He prolly didn't do anything illegal with Gordon, but what he did was unethical.

hey IU is a bunch of cheaters.....they literally stole gordon from illinois, i kno hes just a kid and these kinds of things happen where kids change committments but if IU didnt cheat, gordon would be at illinois

im an illini fan and i have to say i love the badgers tonight too. haha. but overall it was the way he changed his mind, and the way kelvin sampson never informed bruce that he was talking with gordon and how gordon lied over and over he was coming to illinois and backed out after we were relying on him. i keep saying if it was your school this happened to as a fan you would be upset too

Man recruiting is a tough game, Illinois just wasn't the team for Eric so don't make it seems as if he done you guys wrong. Damn he's only a kid thats trying to make his life and his families life better, shit Illinois sucks I would've went there either.....Go Badgers!

Gordon was born in Indiana, grew up watching Bob Knight coach at IU, went to school in Indiana,...blah...blah...blah...the kid was meant to play for IU, bottom line. Just not under Mike Davis--- Now, he is getting to live out his dream. Leave em alone for God sakes
