@vorn29 I have travelled on both. they run bendys in cardiff and I spent time working in London in the late '90s and regularly used the RMs. My opinion is nothing to do with Boris; I will admit to being biased in the RMs favour as someone who is "into" old buses and trucks, but I felt it was wrong to get rid of the RMs when they first started doing it long before Boris got in. I think its just as big a waste of money to introduce a "new" routemaster. The solution IMO was to keep the originals

@mrspivvy Bet you never even travelled on either a bendybus or an RM. Don`t jump on a tory "hate the Bendybus" bandwagon because the blond buffoon says so. Already been said this is turning into a halcyon days lemon.

It was a stupid waste of money to have gotten rid of the originals. I still have the opinion that ken got a huge backhander off someone to get those stupid bendys in.
Original RMs are still very much capable of doing a days work, sadly suffered from the "its old so it must be crap" brigade

0:42 silly woman, they get new buses every year to replace older ones, would you rather ride on a rattling, tatty old bus than a modern one thats very distincive in design and cleaner and quieter?
This bus is a step forward in design and will inspire other bus designers, it's very different to the current boxy looking things we have at the moment.
