  • That's too awesome!

  • That must be one awesome tow vehicle. So how does the difflock work between the rear two axles?

  • Is it real? If so then nice work on the joins.

  • nice tank

  • It's a 1978 Carmichael Range Rover 6x6 with a Chopped up Discovery 1 body stuck on top, and a 4.0 V8....

Well that's what the 'my car check' iPhone app suggests

  • @KevinSok I've never seen a LR use a truck style power divider. Every LR I've seen with 6x6 all used a second transfer case with a separate driveshaft to the rear axle. The Australian Army Perentie is a good example. Full time 4x4 with locking centre diff, part time engagement of rear axle.

At about 39 seconds you can see the rear prop shaft, and it goes over the top of the middle axle, same as a Perentie. Also, if it was a power divider, then the wheelspin at 0:22 should not have happened.

  • Powered by Buick :)
