omfg yes! i always want more battles. im just really glad they just didnt quit when whats his face threw in the towel. their new sound without him is just as powerful as they were. ian is the fuckin' man btw

You need to see Battles for full effect. This is true with any band , but especially true with Battles. John Staniers drumming cant be reproduced on CD/MP3 or on youtube. I was at this gig, they played stuff from the new album. It sounds pretty awesome. The band definately must listen to a lot of techno. Tyondai who?

For the first 20 minutes of the gig I stood laughing because of how audacious it was. But after the initial comedy of how brilliant they are, I just stood gob-smacked. I reckon in time people will prefer their newer stuff to the old.
