A bunch of commercials that aired on ABC on April 29th, 1990. Notice how many "fat free" products are being hawked.

1. Burger King (With Kim Coles from "In Living Color" and "Living Single")
2. Dodge Shadow and Plymouth Sundance
3. Northwest Airlines
4. Ultra Slim-Fast (With Kim Fields aka Tooty!)
5. Promo for "China Beach"
6. Promo for "Roseanne" and "Brewster Place" (Roseanne and Oprah, back to back! Isn't that one of the signs of the Apocalypse?)
7. C&R Clothiers
8. Kraft Fat Free Dressing ("Honey, how could you do that to me?!?")
9. Kraft Macaroni & Cheese (God that little hypnotist kid creeps me out)
10. Molly McButter (What a jingle!)
11. Orville Redenbacher's Light Microwave Popcorn (These just remind me of that creepy commercial from a few years ago and it makes me sad)
12. Youth Plus PSA (Wake up, America. You can't read)
13. Promo for "Thirtysomething"
14. Promo for "Equal Justice"
15. Shout Power Stick
16. Sprint (Is it weird that I vaguely remembered the phone number?)
17. Isuzu
18. Ultra Slim-Fast (With the late, great Mel Torme!)
19. Promo for "Growing Pains" and "Head of the Class" (The sign I got was "open for business"!)
20. Promo for "Good Morning America" (I'd say Charlie Gibson looks a lot younger here, but he really doesn't. Spooky!)
21. ABC News Brief (President Bush's reaction to a terrorist group holding someone hostage? I'm glad things are so much different now!)
22. TV Spot for "Short Time" (God, this movie looks insane)
23. Dodge Country

I have seen over 200 of your videos and have always wondered, how are you able to credit all the celebrities in the commercials? Are they listed somewhere else or do you just have a good eye? And thanks for the posts.

  • @tae518 I have a good eye, as well as an encyclopedic knowledge of useless information. Most of the celebs in this volume are listed in the ads BTW.

  • what did you do, record every commercial and keep the tapes thinking someday you could share all the nostalgia with the world?

  • @Anarchist86ed All of the tapes these commercials are taken from are from TV shows and movies recorded off the air. The original purpose of their recording was not to preserve commercials.

  • So what happened to Frank Reed? Did he make it? :O

  • @MiraiMaki A quick google search says he was freed on April 30th, 1990 (The day after these aired).

  • @sonaliegh lol

  • "1 out of 8 teenagers is functionally illiterate."

ROFL, nowadays it should be something like...

"1 out of 8 teenagers is functionally literate."

  • I've seen many containers of Molly McButter sitting unused in the cabinets of friends and family. I never did try it, myself.

  • @eonurae i couldn't have said it better myself.

  • *Every episode of Rosanne (Was to busy being sucked back into the 90's to realize I forgot a whole word :P)

  • Haha, I have every episode set up to record on my DVR. That show is awesome, and it never gets old no matter how many times I watch it.

  • @ReneeBo yea and dollar a gallon or cheeper gas too

  • This made me crave old Burger King... how it used to be when we were kids.. :(

  • Ugh I love the old food commercials :D

  • I was in my early teens when most of there showed. Im 33 now, and its funny how when some of the songs play I still know all the words and tunes, LMAO!
