I hate to say this but I tend to "be gay" whereever I happen to be. ; )

On a serious note, this video kinda confuses me. I get the gist of what you're saying but at the same time I hear so many TG people talk about putting their transition behind them and just being male or female, not trans-male or trans-female.

I guess this is yet another example how the term transsexual has no meaning but what the individual decides it means for him- or herself.

I totally agree with you on that point. I think a major roadblock is simply Fear. There is still so much Misunderstanding toward the Trans Community in the United States. I have been to other Countries where Trans- Women and/or men weren't just tolerated but ACCEPTED just like any other person. But i would love to see that start to happen here in the U.S. Maybe, someday........

If we remain quiet, hushed by  our fears of the outside, and silenced by our damned insecurities, how can we expect a better tomorrow? We are responsible for the future generations of trans people everywhere. We cannot betray them, cowardly insisting: "the world isn't ready yet." Natural societal evolution is a slow, gruelling process. Change will only come when we command it.
