I am actually a Horn player but I figured I would try to pick up the organ since I have some time off school. I have really just started and this particular video is about two and a half weeks through on the organ.

I am an awful organist and need to work on my control, rushing, proper substitutions, articulation, you name it. I am much improved since my first day and at the end of my sessions I like to run a little bit without my metronome and tape it to see what sort of improvement I should work on next time.

I would welcome all constructive criticism from any proper organists or other musicians with a good ear.

This is also just part one. I have others from various points later on in the work.

  • impressive!

try to work on keeping a steady beat, as you mentioned, and making all the notes even.

  • And it is only too legato on the first part. The choral part should be legato

  • Preety Good. It is too legato though. But that comes with practice.

  • This sounds pretty good to me; not much improvement needed.

  • hahaha

a shot of the shoes next time?
